Does not free up any memory on my MacBook Pro 2011 Lion
I have noticed that when you launch this app the amount of free memory drops a lot. Then when you launch iCleamMemory it says not much memory free. Correct.
When you press the button to free up memory the amount of free memory goes back to what it was before you launched the app. So yes it does free up memory, but you end up having the same amount of free memory as if you did not use this app. So you do not gain any free memory using this program. Sorry to say it. But that is my experience with this app.
From good to amazing
This neat little app cleans your memory, and enables you to keep an eye on current free memory in an easy and customizable way.
You can choose to manually clear memory, or have it automatically clean up when you run low. Again you can customize what exactly 'low' is. There are also several different depths of cleaning, a fast mode which only takes but a second and often clears enough to play around a bit, a more thurough mode that takes longer, but of course clears more. And a mode that basically flushes your memory clean.
I most certianly haven't regretted this purchase as my MacBook Pro using 4gb and even after upgrading to 8gb iCleanMemory continues to prove very useful.
Recommended!
Simply amazing.
Before I upgraded my MacBook from 4BG RAM to 8GB it was specially useful.
But even with 8GB RAM i use it when i run a lot of programs like Photoshop, iPhoto iTunes, Adobe Bridges etc. at the same time!
I don't regret buying it.
