JAWS, which stands for Job Access with Speech, is a screen reader developed by Freedom Scientific.

Shotcut — This is a free open-source video editing software application that doesn’t even bother to mess around with offering an upgraded paid version. Now that’s dedication to “free.”. RED Rocket Driver 2.1.23.0 and Firmware 1.1.18.0 or later. Pros: It simply doesn’t get any.

Historically, JAWS has worked best with Internet Explorer, and that combination still work well, but Internet Explorer is old and will never be updated with new features, so it is best to migrate to newer browsers.

Getting started

PC Cursor: The usual cursor on the screen. When activated, users can move this cursor around the screen. It can only go where a cursor can be placed.

Virtual PC Cursor: The virtual PC cursor is similar to the PC Cursor, and is used for navigating HTML documents.

JAWS cursor: is the mouse pointer on the screen. When activated, users can move around the screen and navigate through areas where a normal cursor cannot go.

Forms Mode: When entering a form using Tab, Arrow Keys, or the JAWS cursor, JAWS automatically leaves Browse Mode and enters Forms Mode. This changes some of the keystrokes so that the user can enter text. If Forms mode does not activate automatically, press Enter when on a form field to activate it. Press the Numpad Plus (+) to go back to browse mode and use normal navigation keystrokes.

To install JAWS, download the latest version at http://www.freedomscientific.com/downloads/JAWS, run the “Configlicense” batch file at enableJAWSConfigureLicense as an administrator, then reboot.

This version adds support for MLT v6.20.0’s preview scaling.

For the MLT integration, if the resource starts with “plain:” webvfx doesautomatic scaling by changing the zoom level. This works fine for content thatis simply produced or overlayed by the filter. However, content that uses thewebvfx JavaScript extension will not operate with zoom unless the serviceproperty mlt_resolution_scale is set to 1. New propertiesmlt_profile_scale_width and mlt_profile_scale_height are real numbers thatreflect the new MLT scale properties used to do low-res preview scaling.Content script can access this via webvfx.getNumberParameter() to scale itsparameters and elements.

MLT continues to maintain and extend theWebVfx add-on that lets one use HTMLand Qt QML technologies for a video asset or effects. Back in November, 2018 wereleased v1.0.0 as it has proven fairly stable and useful in Shotcut for a fewyears. Here are the enhancements for v1.1.0:

• Added support for alpha channels in MLT video for input and output.
• Added a transparent property to the MLT filter. When the property is set to 1, this gives a filter a transparent white canvas for drawing while the MLT videoimage is still available through the JavaScript extension. This facilitatesusing WebVfx to draw the alpha channel independently of the MLT alpha channel.
• Added support for getting a MLT rectangle property (mlt_rect) as a JavaScriptobject with properties: x, y, width, height, and opacity.
